About clinicians

Everything here is a public U.S. government record about a licensed professional acting in a professional capacity. The Physician Payments Sunshine Act exists specifically to make industry payments to clinicians visible to the public; Medicare billing and prescribing files are published for the same reason.

Two deliberate limits go beyond what the law requires:

• No street addresses, for anyone. The source files include practice addresses, and a meaningful number of solo practitioners register a home address. City and state are enough to tell two clinicians apart. We publish nothing finer.
• No characterisation. We report what was disclosed and show it against peers. We do not describe any clinician as compromised, bought or influenced — those are conclusions the data cannot support about an individual.

Deactivated registrations are marked inactive rather than deleted, so links and citations stay stable. Corrections →

About visitors

Doctor Payments Data is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins and no tracking cookies. Searching for a clinician happens entirely in your browser — the page fetches a small data file and filters it locally, so what you type is never sent to a server and never logged.

Standard web server logs record the usual request metadata. We do not sell data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
